I had high hopes for this film as the premise was interesting, but I think sometimes romcoms in an effort to break the mould forget what makes the genre so charming in the first place. While I wished there was more time spent exploring the dynamic between the two leads, I did appreciate the subplot about Kazim’s sister. Beautiful.
